Vancouver, BC. -- At its meeting on October 28, 2011, the CHEC Board of Trustees voted to establish the Christian Leadership Award in Higher Education to honour and celebrate people who have provided outstanding examples of leadership. Recipients will be recognized at each National Forum sponsored by CHEC.
The first recipient will be Dr James Houston, one of the founders of Regent College in Vancouver. He will be recognized and deliver the address at the closing banquet of the Forum on May 30, 2012 at The King's University College in Edmonton, AB.
Christian Higher Education Canada, Inc (CHEC) is a non-profit association of Christ-centred higher education institutions, based in Dundas, Ontario. Members include 33 fully accredited, degree-granting institutions representing a broad spectrum of undergraduate and graduate Christian higher education within Canada, and serving over 17,000 students. Our members work together to further the CHEC mission to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of Christian higher education at member schools, including, fostering institutional cooperation, and to raise public awareness of the value of Christian Higher Education in Canada.
